Each of the four soaps Emmerdale, Coronation Street, EastEnders, and Hollyoaks will have now filmed all the scenes over this year's Christmas festival. Here are some spoilers that we know so far.

I believe in EE the big Christmas Story is that Phil watches Call the Midwife at 6AM on the iplayer and then spoils it for everyone else on the square who go after him for revenge.

I hope the ITV soaps are on for 60 minutes. Last year was lame!

Gail's exit is on Christmas Day. They let it slip last night's live behind the scenes the producer says.

Surely Corrie's Xmas Day episode will be an hour long if it's Gail's exit?

No early releases as well for any of the soaps on Christmas Day this year. I think for that day the first premiere should be televised then online.

Or it could be half an Hour, followed by some Goodbye Gail type show

It could still have Goodbye Gail on ITVX exclusive and an hour-long episode on Christmas Day. We will have to wait and see.

The metro have said the following

More than one soap has a tragedy
    One has a miracle
    One has a surprise return
One has a scrap to end all scraps

Pretty sure Emmerdale has already confirmed it has a surprise return on Christmas Day, and could also be Layla's exit as well, so that could be a tragedy as well
Eastenders is pretty certain to be a tragedy as well, as Shane Richie described it as tragic

This would mean that Leyla returned one Wednesday Christmas Day, 2013, and will leave/die on another, 2024. 🎥🎄All soaps Christmas episodes are now filmed🎄🎥 (Contain some spoilers) (15)

Aren't they always 60 minutes these days?

Trust ITV to do 60 minute episodes all year and only 30 minutes on big occasions like Christmas.

With Corrie it didn't make sense. It's been 60 minutes for years now but on Christmas Day they only gave us 30.
