Why can't I see the texting details? I can see 2 days of data usage details and some talk details, but nothing for text messages. I have 5 lines and can't see the text details for any of the lines. I've tried two computers, two browsers, and I've cleared history, cashe, & cookies and I've tried the AT&T mobile app. It's the same on all platforms. It's been like this for 4 days. I've talked to several people at AT&T and still no resolve. Anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you get it fixed?

If everyone has iPhones and is using iMessage, that is sent and received as data not SMS.

Android Advanced messaging also sends as data not as SMS.

Eventually there will be no text usage details as the messaging apps use data

Formerlyknownas thanks for your response, but at least one of my lines doesn't have data turned on, so it most defiantly should have text message usage numbers listed. Also, I was able to see them on Monday, but they haven't been on there since. It should 195 messages sent, but no list of numbers like normal.

Hello, @jfrogge we're happy to help you with viewing your Data, Text, and Talk usage.

We update your usage reports as quickly as we can, but sometimes your usage info may be unavailable or delayed. It can take two to five days for data useto post in myAT&T, so amounts shown online may not reflect all use since your last bill.

Time stamps for current data or text usage may be off by up to 4 hours in myAT&T. Here are some things to keep in mind.

  • What device are you using? The reason we ask is that Apple's iMessage system does not use the carrier's SMS mechanism. AT&T does not log iMessages, and will not show up on your bill statement or text summary.
  • Are you using a third party texting app? If the messaging app is not the pre installed AT&T app, messaging will reflect as data usage on your summary.

You can download your wireless usage details by:

  1. Going to Usage.
  2. Select the bill period you want to view.
  3. Choose your service type:
    • Wireless-only service: Look in theUsage by numbersection, find the device you want to manage, and selectView more usage details and options. Then chooseSee data, text, and talk logs.
    • More than one service: Look in theBasic plan usagesection, find the device you want to manage, and selectView usage details. Then choose how you want to view your details.
  4. SelectDownload, then chooseCSVorExcel. (Don’t see these options? Use the forward arrows to get to the last page. Once you see all your records, you can download them.)

If you do not see the text summarys and usage details this may mean that the Text messages are being sent from a SMS system outside of AT&T or is being recorded as Data as mentioned by @formerlyknownas. @ATTHelpI have 5 lines and none of the 5 lines show any text usage info for this current billing period. One of the lines does not even have data and I have texted the phone several times when it was not on Wifi so it’s impossible for it not to have text usage. It’s been over 5 days since I was able to last see it. I am able to see data usage and talk usage. But just nothing on text. It’s the same for all 5 lines on my account. I have also used the AT&T app, Chrome and Safari. I’ve cleared cashe, cookies and history and tried from my phone and 2 different computers that all result in the same outcome. I have been a loyal AT&T customer for years (using this service) and I have a Computer science degree so it’s not user error. There is something on your end that is stopping me from being able to view the text usage. It tells me the total number of text messages at the bottom of the page, but doesn’t list out the numbers like I’ve seen it do for so many years that I’ve had my service with AT&T. It’s very frustrating when you actually need this service because a number was accidentally deleted and then you can’t access it. This seems to be an issues many customers have been experiencing off and on so I’d hope with the amount of money customers pay for service, AT&T would be getting this issue solved quickly. I don’t mind waiting and I understand there are time frames for stuff to update, but I am now past those said time frames and still am not able to access the services you say I should be able to access. Please review this issue again and I hope a resolution will be found soon.
