- Type in your email on the Craigslist signup page.
- Hit Create account.
- Hit the complete account sign-up button in the mail.

Enter your email on the Craigslist Signup page. In the text box below the "Create an account" heading near the bottom of the page, type in the email address you want to use to create your Craigslist account.[1]

Click Create account. It's below the text box. Doing so sends a confirmation email to your specified email address.

Open the email from Craigslist. Head to your email inbox on a web browser or via its associated app on your phone or tablet. From there, click or tap the “craigslist account sign-up” email from sender "craigslist - automated message, do not reply" in your email's inbox.

Click or tap the complete account sign-up button. It should be under the text “to complete your craigslist account.”

Create a password. Type the password you want to use to log into your Craigslist account into the "new password" text box, then re-type the password into the "re-type new password" text box. Craigslist will tell you how strong your password is as you type it in.
- Alternative: Click or tap “Go Passwordless” for a password-free login experience with your Craigslist account.

Click Change Password. It's below the bottom text box. Doing so confirms your password and redirects the page.

Click the Go to my account homepage link. This takes you to your account page. You can now begin enjoying Craigslist as a registered user.

Tap get started. This button sits at the bottom of the screen when you first open the app.

Tap share location or not now. Since Craigslist operates on region-based listings, the platform suggests sharing your location with the app. You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to, though.
- You’ll likely receive a pop-up from your phone asking if the app is allowed to use your location.

Pick your starting location. Use the default location the app gives you, or type your location into the search bar to customize it.

Tap Account and type in your email. This will be the email associated with your Craigslist account.

Tap the send me a link option. Craigslist will send a link to your email that’ll allow you to create a new account.

Tap the complete account sign-up button in your email. This will redirect you back to the Craigslist app, though your device may ask for permission to open it in a different application first.

Tap either set password or skip password. You can either set a password for your account or go password-less.
- Set password: Type in a secure password and hit “set password.”
- Skip password: Get redirected to the next screen.

Accept the terms of use. Tap “I ACCEPT” to continue using the app with your new account.
